Yuan Ze University’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences in Taoyuan, Taiwan, hosts the International Bachelor’s Program in Strategic Communication (IBSC), Taiwan’s only English-language bachelor’s program specializing in strategic communication. With international freshman enrollment up by five times this year, IBSC’s interdisciplinary approach is drawing students from around the world, showcasing its strong appeal in the global education market.

Program Director Dr. Chen Jing-Fu emphasizes that the program’s motto, “Study in Taiwan; Leap Forward to the World,” highlights the benefits of an immersive English-speaking environment where students not only receive high-quality education but also improve cross-cultural communication skills and broaden their international perspectives—key foundations for future career success.

This year, the IBSC program introduced new interdisciplinary courses, including "Professional Technology Communication," "Cross-Cultural Marketing and Communication," and "Design Thinking," designed to meet the demands of the global job market. According to industry projections, the demand in professional technology communication is expected to grow by 10-11% by 2026, reflecting the increasing value of professionals skilled in both technical knowledge and communication.

Additionally, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence, AI elements have been integrated into the curriculum, equipping students with cutting-edge skills in strategic communication and digital applications to better prepare them for the challenges of a digitalized workplace. Dr. Chen highlights that the IBSC program covers diverse fields such as public relations, marketing, media, and digital technology. The program’s motto, “Study in Taiwan; Leap Forward to the World,” reflects its commitment to providing students with a top-tier education, cross-cultural communication skills, and global perspectives, laying a solid foundation for their career development.
